Columbia Credit Union Washougal Branch—Daily Journal of Commerce

Paladino collaborated with Seattle design firm EHS to develop and implement green building and LEED strategies for Vancouver, Washington-based Columbia Credit Union. The result is an artful LEED Silver-rated branch, the first of several planned branches to incorporate sustainable design and LEED concepts.

Sustainability measures include:

  • Rainwater cisterns for non-potable indoor plumbing and irrigation
  • High efficiency electric lighting and daylighting scheme
  • High efficiency HVAC system combined with natural ventilation
  • Pervious concrete for stormwater management
  • FSC certified wood flooring and structural lumber
