Paladino collaborated with Seattle design firm EHS to develop and implement green building and LEED strategies for Vancouver, Washington-based Columbia Credit Union. The result is an artful LEED Silver-rated branch, the first of several planned branches to incorporate sustainable design and LEED concepts.
Sustainability measures include:
- Rainwater cisterns for non-potable indoor plumbing and irrigation
- High efficiency electric lighting and daylighting scheme
- High efficiency HVAC system combined with natural ventilation
- Pervious concrete for stormwater management
- FSC certified wood flooring and structural lumber
