CCDC Announces Centre City Green Program for Downtown San Diego

On Earth Day, April 22, 2010, San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders and Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC) announced a new program developed by Paladino and CCDC's stakeholder group to make downtown San Diego more environmentally sustainable and to help the city reach California’s climate change goals for 2020. The proposed Centre City Green program includes three principal program elements: green building development goals and policies, an energy-efficient lighting plan and a green streets program.

Paladino and Company supported CCDC in the development of Centre City Green, establishing a phased planning and implementation process along with sustainability indicators that will allow CCDC to measure and evaluate environmental performance over time.

The Center City Development Corporation (CCDC) is a public, non-profit corporation created by the City of San Diego to staff and implement Downtown redevelopment projects and programs.
