With a background in facility management and existing buildings, Candice brings an understanding of high performance building operation from the manager/owner perspective to her clients’ projects. As a member of the community development team, Candice manages the LEED documentation and certification process for clients certifying multiple buildings at once and provides technical and research support to project teams. In addition, she conducts LEED application reviews as a member of Paladino’s technical consulting team to the U.S. Green Building Council.
Candice earned her Master degree from Georgia Tech’s Facility Management M.S. program, one of only three in the world accredited by the International Facility Management Association. During her internship at Linc Facility Services, she led the effort to achieve LEED-EBOM Silver for AT&T Park in San Francisco, the first Major League Baseball stadium to achieve LEED EBOM certification. Candice also led a volunteer effort to form a Green Team at her 270-unit condominium building in Atlanta. She worked with committee members to develop strategic and tactical sustainability goals for the building, which included a comprehensive recycling program, energy and water efficiency programs, a community resource for sharing and reusing moving supplies and outreach and education.
