Katie has been executing sustainability initiatives in the built environment for over 12 years through programs influencing portfolio management, operations, construction, innovation, and the non-profit arena. In her role as managing director, she leads and is responsible for all aspects of Paladino DC’s consulting teams’ performance and operations, driving company culture and achievement.
Katie routinely consults with clients and stakeholders to help them define and meet their environmental performance goals, working across disciplines to increase the knowledge and implementation of green building practices. She is widely recognized for her work developing and leading the Co|Lab for HITT Contracting, the first mass timber project in Virginia, developed to house long-term research and testing of emerging technologies, products, and practices intended to transform the building industry. Katie has personally LEED certified more than 20 million square feet of real estate.
Katie is a nationally recognized speaker and expert on issues related to green building practices including material health, innovation, green building R&D, chemical transparency, and high-performance strategies.
